Hong Kong over the Past Hundred Years – Levelled Hills and Reclaimed Land

Pre-exhibition Seminar Series

The exhibition “Hong Kong over the Past 100 Years” is a popular event with the Hong Kong public and has been well-received since its inception in 2014. Jao Tsung-I Academy is a historical monument adjoining Lai Chi Kok and Mei Foo New Estate and has witnessed the evolution of reclamation and development in this area since 1888. The theme of the New Year’s exhibition is “Hong Kong over the Past Hundred Years – Levelled Hills and Reclaimed Land”. We have invited expert consultant, well-known history scholar Professor Joseph Ting to give the pre-exhibition seminar series on the development of reclamation in Hong Kong and stories from history.
